Winchester, VA (June 18, 2007) – On June 18, 2007, Rubbermaid Commercial Products announced that it has acquired the assets of United Metal Receptacle Corporation. United Receptacle, out of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, is the leading brand in decorative waste management and smoking management products and accessories for commercial facilities.
Together, United Metal Receptacle and Rubbermaid Commercial Products will offer the market a more substantial product offering, best-of-breed business practices, and a strong, successful partner, capitalizing on the synergies and combined talents and expertise of both companies.
The management team is excited about the potential growth associated with this relationship and will focus on opportunities to become a more valuable partner to our customers. Richard Weiss, who led United Receptacle to success, will continue to manage the business and report to Larry McIsaac, global president of Rubbermaid Commercial Products.
