Here is an auspicious beginning: the System for eMAR Delivery, from Rubbermaid Medical Solutions will arrive in hospitals with industry accolades in hand for best-in-class functionality and aesthetics. The 2004 design award was conferred on RCP Medical Solutions’ design team by the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc, in their 32nd Annual Design Competition.
Introduced to the medical care delivery community as A Platform For Change, the System for eMAR Delivery integrates the benefits of technology and ergonomics into secure and accurate medication dispensing. Electronic Medical Administration Records, or eMAR is credited with significant reduction in medication administration errors.
The System features a highly mobile and adjustable cart, which integrates a laptop computer and a barcode scanner for automatically cross-matching patient records, medication dosages and administration for unsurpassed accuracy and safety. The medication drawers reside in an Expansion Module, which connect to the cart, making medicine doses portable, accessible, organized and secure.
Hospitals facing intense pressure for improving efficiency and error reduction at the point of patient care delivery are embracing this powerful new tool. Initial orders for the cart deliver in June 2004.
